Nothing Says Boring Like A Movie About People Walking On Train Tracks

Station Agent - Next Stop, Boredom
I read this the other day on Yahoo:
“Peter Dinklage is reuniting with The Station Agent director Tom McCarthy for the HBO fantasy pilot Game of
Thrones, described as an epic battle for power set in a vast and violent kingdom. Dinklage will play the outcast brother of the queen.”
Great… just what we need. The guy who made “The Station Agent” to make another movie. With the same actor.
Great.
Maybe we can get Mariah Carey to re-team with her “Glitter” director to make another movie.
Monsters VS Aliens 3D – Worth Seeing In The Theater

Monsters VS Aliens 3D
Seems like I’ve been on a 3D movie kick lately. This was one that I had been waiting for a couple of years.
Unfortunately, it really wasn’t the film I had hoped it to be. It was well constructed, but left a lot behind in the laughs department. I also didn’t really feel that the story was thought out to the same degree as The Incredibles. Nor did I believe that the character of Bob, who was obviously meant to be the comedic focus of the movie was given the greatest visual characterization to really flesh out a few of his scenes.
I believe the animators really missed out on providing some great emotive moments from his character by some simple cheats and giving his blob form some more humanistic expressions. Some simple cheats of adding in more defined brow could have really translated into raising Seth Rogen’s adequate voiceover a notch or two.
However, I do believe, that if you are a fan of animation, that you should see this film in the theater. Preferably in 3D. The film looked amazing, and there were some great shots that will not translate over to television.
Wow.
How serious is this review for a friggin’ cartoon. It’s like I’m reviewing an Oliver Stone movie or something. One of the good Oliver Stone movies, that is. He used to win Oscars, you know.
My Bloody Valentine 3D Delivers

I had been waiting for a good, campy horror movie to come out for awhile. My Bloody Valentine 3D delivered.
This was the goofy, make fun of itself movie that had been missing from the genre for quite awhile. Add in the bonus of the 3D experience and you have quite an entertaining film. Blood, guts, gratuitous nudity, campy dialogue, deliberately bad acting, and more blood.
I suppose that some of the bad acting might not have been entirely deliberate, but it still fit the movie extremely well.
Definitely worth seeing in the movie theater if you are a fan of horror movies.
